Aaron Crow Fearless Magic Show

Once again, I am off to Genting Highlands for a weekend getaway. With the month-long heat in March, I could not wait to embrace the cool air and indulge myself in the entertainment at Genting Highlands. After meeting up with my fellow bloggers at Golden Mile Complex, we took a 6-hour long bus ride to Genting Highlands, reaching early in the morning.

We were accommodated in First World Hotel's newest tower - Tower 3, that features the XYZ deluxe room. On my previous trip, I have introduced this room to you all but this time round, Tower 3's lobby is fully opened with check-in counters and self-checkout kiosks, together with a cafe at the tower lobby itself!

The entire place is tastefully furnished, bright and visually pleasing. The entire hotel however, still lacks in-room wifi. After a long ride, we could not help but head up to our room for a nap before lunch at Coffee Terrace.

Lunch was pretty good with a wide variety of food available from different cuisine, such as Malay, Chinese and Western. Here are few examples of what you can get for a RM42 buffet! Food presentation award goes to William and Gerald, whom hardworking-ly positioned all the food :p

We simply could not give Snow World a miss. This time round, they have do up the place with Easter decor. Colourful much!

My best friend in the whole wide world
The freezing cold is something that I simply could not withstand so Gernaine and I quickly escaped out of Snow World, but not without a picture first!

The highlight of this trip is Aaron Crow Fearless Magic Show at Genting International Showroom, so I shall leave that to the end of this post.

Let me introduce you to Bubbles & Bites. Trooping up the stairs to our own space of 14, we eagerly ordered a few recommended dishes. This place is quite popular as the dinner crowd starts to form a line outside the restaurant to have taste of their western food.

It has a pretty nice ambience and the food is up to standard too.

All of us were eagerly taking photos and couldn't wait for all the food to arrive! Some of their signature dishes are Pici Bolognaise Pasta, Black Angus T- Bone Steak, Slow Braised Lamb Shank, Ethiopian Chicken and Lam Lee Burger. To go with the food, Bubbles & Bites imports sparkling wine, juices, beers and sodas; hence the name bubbles!

Lam Lee burger, noms!

Angus T-Bone Steak, so delicious that we went had one more to share around the table! The meat was soft, juicy and flavourful.

Now, let me introduce you to Aaron Crow's Fearless Magic Show. Why fearless? His magical performance brings fear to people's heart as they watch him performing risky stunts in total silence. The silence was intensifying as Aaron Crow did not utter a single word throughout the entire performance, making him so mysterious and charismatic to the audience. As a Belgian, he had been dubbed by his country as their foremost international television sensation, appearing in numerous TV and gala shows. He even got onto Britain's Got Talent in 2013 and went on to the finals.

His first act, 'Supravision' is possibly the most spectacular and daring act in the world.

Before blindfolding himself, he pours hot candle wax to cover his eyes. Yikes!!! Then he begins to blindfold himself with many many rounds of cloth and finally, a metal foil. 3 layers of blindfold, this act couldn't be any more genuine. He then proceeds to use a knife and slices through a rice bag, wooden board and finally, a pineapple.

Here is Eric, where Aaron Crow walks towards him and chops the wooden board into half.

If several layers of blindfold isn't enough to excite you, how about swallowing needles? A few people from the audience tested if the needles were real.

And then he proceeded to swallow the needles itself one by one, and then pulling them all out with a string!

No doubt, the finale is always the best. I shall not reveal any further details here but clue is, it involves an apple and a ring. Watching two of my friends being picked to take part in this act is really nerve-wrecking!

Undoubtedly a world-class performance, with the best magician I have ever seen so far! I thoroughly love watching his performance and would definitely want to watch it again!

We all took group photo and over here, he's holding a bullet shot at him with a paint ball machine. What makes this bullet different is that is is made of metal while the rest are paint capsules, it can kill! This bullet was also signed by a member of the audience and then put into the the paintball machine before shooting at him. The whole show is simply amazing and had me sitting at the edge of my seat, clapping and screaming in excitement!

Many many thanks to Wei En, Eric and Jiayi representing Resorts World Genting for the invitiation to visit Genting Highlands. Genting Highlands is a must-go for every child for their theme parks and many other family-oriented entertainment. The rooms are so nice right now to stay and many other activities to do, like trying out the food, watching Aaron Crow's performance (an eye-opener!) and visiting the arcade at night! It's a perfect getaway for a weekend trip with family and friends! I definitely hope to visit Genting Highlands again soon!

PS. Aaron, if you're reading this, I hope you know that you have raised my expectation of a good performance and set the bar really high now!
